1st Day's of School

Hannah started 1st grade this year and was super excited. She loves being at school all day and couldn't wait to eat school lunch. ( we'll see if that lunch enthusiasm lasts!) This is the only pic she would stand still for.
Today was Ben's 1st day of Kindergarten. He was super excited as well, but I think that had to do with the fact that he gets to ride the bus!

As soon as the bus pulled up to the house he walked right on without even a single look back or a goodbye to mommy.  I however stood on the porch for a while watching him drive away, trying not to jump in the car to follow.

Lazy Sumer

I bet you are expecting a bunch of fun family pictures from all the activities we did over the summer, but sadly no! Im so far behind in my blog posts that Im not going to even try to catch up.
In Summer summery..... Brice got laid off from his job, so while we had lots of time together we had no $$$ in which to do anything!! Summer consisted of job searching, a few outings, a semi-failed garden, and more job searching.
So as not to leave it on a sour note... Brice started a new job today and we finally have 1 pumpkin growing and a few squash and melons.  Here is one picture of free concert night in the park!

Spring !

I love Spring!!

Our first rose this year. Our rose bush has struggled a little since we moved it last year. I prunned it back a bunch but so far only one section has buds.

Caught these cute little Quail couple wandering through the lettuce in our gutter garden on the back deck today. In the next few weeks there will be four kinds of lettuce for us to munch on. Yumm

Our "Tree Fairies" were busy spring cleaning this week & making improvements to the front of their house. They decided to paint their front door to match ours. The kids keep knocking but the fairies have still been to shy to come out. I dont think they are done with their curb appeal yet though, well have to wait and see what else they do.

The kitchen window has also been very full housing all our seedlings for the garden. We currently have Lettuce, Beans, Peas, Squash, Cucumbers, Melon, Celery, Green onions, Mint, Parsley, Sage, & Rosemary growing. It's been really fun to watch all the plants grow and change everyday.  We have already taken a Pumpkin, Watermelon, & Lettuce out of the window to their new homes outside. On the deck we have Peas and Carrots growing in tubs. Ill post more garden pics when everything is in full swing.
